I adore the Rankin/Bass TV production and watch it every Easter. This book does a quick summary of the overall story. I recommend the production as it has more detail, delightful music, and lovely puppet/clay animation but this isn't a bad book for nostalgic reasons and if you don't have time to watch the special. The illustrations look more digitally rendered than the TV special.
