No, but seriously, you have to pick up your dirty dishes. Or your house will be invaded.

It's a funny cautionary tale.

A twist on the classic you-haven't-clean-your-room cause/effect book. Funny ending!

I really enjoyed this book! A different take on cleaning your room, because if you don't, your house will be infested with Barbarians! Too many words for storytime, would be better for elementary students.

I have read this 20+ times and I still like it, and the 4yo cam quote large sections and still likes it. Winner.

The preachy part about moms at the end really ruined this one for me.

Hilarious way to explain why it is important to clean up your room.

Silly -- with a gross (but not crude) humor that kids will love; very detailed illustrations.

Nominated for the 2019 Washington state children's choice picture book award. It will be fun to share this with the kids. I am sure many of them have experienced ants and fleas - but a few might know about cockroaches - not common here. April is national pest management month.
