These stories were not bad, but didn't really add a whole lot to the characters, except maybe the story with Claire, as she's a bit murky. Pleasant enough but not vital.

I absolutely adore Broadchurch, both the show and the books. The characters are just so interesting and wonderfully fleshed out. My favorite story in Volume 2 was definitely "Thirteen Hours," as Alec Hardy is without question my favorite character, along with Ellie Miller of course. I hope that when series 3 airs (not til 2016! Ugh!!) that we get more books/short stories, because I just love immersing myself in this world.

I thought this was going to delve a little deeper into the second series of the show, and it did, but it also didn't. What it ultimately turned out to be was character insights some of which happened before and during the second series. Interesting, and a cool idea for a companion series, but the end result was a little scattered for my taste.
