Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Instead of a book about climate change and breakfast, it's really just a book filled with the author's rants and random stories, in no order whatsoever. He says it is "a book about the impacts of animal agriculture on the environment" and yet it rarely addresses that.

There were a few sentences amidst the rubble that actually made a lick of sense. How it is "easier than ever for the Left to blame the Right for our environmental negligence" but "that blaming can also be a means of turning away from our own reflections" and that Obama "failed to push climate legislation". Or that "our singular focus on fossil fuels leads us to visually represent the planetary crisis with smokestacks and polar bears", and so "as mascots for our crisis, they have given us the impression that our planet is a factory"--which is counterproductive.

Good premise, horribly poor execution. This was a book about blame, really. So I eat eggs every two weeks, and I have cheese at restaurants, and every few weeks we drive to the town center instead of catching the train or walking, which makes me "as bad as a climate denier"??? The comparisons with the holocaust really got to me, and his excessive use of his life story or random switching of topics entirely unrelated to climate change was such a let down.
