I really enjoyed this one! It was a fairly quick read for me and i definitely didn’t want to put it down when I was reading. It was great to read about a strong, brave (real life!) woman like Constance and I had no clue it was based on a true story when I picked it up. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.

I suppose this is technically more 4 1/2 stars than 5, but in the end I did really get caught up with it and couldn't put it down, so I bumped it to 5 stars. I did find the frequency of the threats of sexual harassment/rape in the beginning to be a bit uncomfortable, and there were some weird, antisemitic vibes for me too; however I did some research into the book and most of those aspects were based on true events, so I can't really fault the author.

Luckily all that smooths out a lot once the plot picks up and the book really gets going. I loved the main character, Constance, and her two "sisters" (spoilers, lol). It was really great reading a book based in facts, with a main character who was older (I think in her late 30s?), and strong and clever and TALL (hey, tall girls unite), and badass, and not the marrying type. I just wish there was a sequel, even though I know it's based in a true story.

(I may add more to this review after my book club meeting for it tomorrow!)

Audible... Really cute story line. I thought the book was going to end about 20 chapters before it did. Not sure I’ll read the next book. Only thing missing is a love story!
