Holy wow the ending is just wow! While this book took a bit to get used to and understand it is well worth it!

It was this shitshow with a tacky twist that got me into reading again after a two-year slump. Guess I've only got Sarah Pinborough to thank for that.

I was hooked the whole thing. Elaborate plotting to hang onto an obsessive love. I love trying to outrun an author. But the ending was disappointing for me. The reviews saying you won't guess the ending are likely correct. I certainly didn't know what would happen but the end was not realistic like the rest of the book. Good storyline and characters but would have loved a just as shocking yet more real ending.

Hard pass

This book was not entertaining to me at all.
I started reading it as a loan from the library as an ebook, and it automatically gets returned. I finally just got it a second time and was able to finish it.

I wasn’t thrilled with the book when my loan initially expired, but I was too curious to see what would happen.
At this point, I was better off not knowing.
Don’t recommend this book at all.

dnf at 69%. dude I just can't anymore. this book is so boring and just... garbage. for one, it feels like a whole lot was supposed to happen but it felt more like a whole lot wasn't happening. all of the characters are absloutely insufferable. Louise is just a pathetic idiot who doesn't know how to not be a piece of shit. The other woman's name who I can't be bothered to remember is even worse. Constantly fat shaming Louise and just being a total bitch. I understand if that is what her character is supposed to be, but if I had a dollar for everytime she called Louise fat or talked about her weight, I'd have at least 30 dollars (which isn't a lot of money but it is a lot of times to call someone fat). Anyway, I really hope this doesn't put me in a reading slump.
