It was okay? The setting was the best part, especially with the mixing of the creepy old house and the modern technology. But the MC was kind of irritating, as were the kids, and the twists were a little anticlimactic I guess, because of the way it all unfurled through letters.

I have mixed feelings on this book, I enjoyed Ruth Ware's writing style and I do feel like she is good storyteller, but overall i found this book anticlimactic. I did find the book to be unsettling and definitely succeeded in making me creeped out. However, I felt the beginning of the book dragged and nothing really prevalent to the story occurred. The reveals at the end felt predictable and just not very believable, overall the ending just left me felling disappointed.

3.5-4ish stars
- great story setting as far as attention getting and creepy
- a few creepy parts that left me wondering how
- ending explained answers to my wonder“how” questions, but wasn’t what I thought it would be

A good murder story... I like how the author unfolded the story.

A great mystery with a creepy tone. I found The Woman in Cabin 10 gripped me more immediately than this one, which instead was slow and eerie throughout.
