It's a Chicken Cinderella. What more could you want in life? My new favorite version of Cinderella.

Charming and beautifully illustrated.  Very fun to read with silly children.

The art is beautiful as always, but it felt like the concept wasn't pushed to its full potential. Still, a good middling Cinderella retelling with fantastic art of chickens in fancy dress and fancy situations.

I gave this four stars because of the beautiful illustrations that made the story work, and the way it was put together. A sweet retelling of Cinderella. (:

This is a good addition for educators who teach either an author study on Jan Brett or a Cinderella story unit . Beautiful illustrations!

The author traveled to St. Petersburg and all we got was this book about chicken-Cinderella! XD

The detailed illustrations in this book are phenomenal. If you know anything about chickens, you will recognize the breeds depicted (and perhaps Pecky and Bossy’s personality). A rather ridiculous retelling of a classic fairytale, but the fanciful illustrations will appeal to the owners of poultry.

Chickens dancing and romancing? I'm charmed. Outside of the change in species, though, it generally sticks to the conventional Cinderella story.

Child me would have lost their mind if they'd known this existed. This is my new favorite book.

I enjoyed this more than my daughter did. It was an interesting fairy tale retelling, and I enjoyed the implication of the dream.
