This was a random choice when I couldn't find anything to read for the night, and ended up being a pleasant surprise. The FMC is a strong character who can not only take care of herself, but she also gives back as much as she ever gives. I enjoyed the chase (and it really was a chase) throughout the entire book just as much as the MMCs. She demands their submission just as much as they demand hers, and I love that for her. But she wasn't without her weaknesses, which they all worked through and it was a sweet little story arc. I loved seeing her readying for war at the end.
I just wish we had more of an ending. There's a war building up in the story, but it ends before we get to it, when one of her men is the adopted son of the man they're facing. If this follows the pattern, the next book will be about a different set of characters. I just wanted to either see these ones go to war, or see an epilogue with an HEA years later. Sadly we don't.
Another thing that was small was that the world wasn't explained a lot, presumably because this is the 4th book in a series of standalones. But I haven't read the previous books, and it was never explained in this one, so I have no idea where this is set. A different world? How are there humans there? Or is it earth with extras? Not super important, but I really wanted to know.

The only complaint I have about this book is that I didnât realize the book would end with our couple having a happy ending but the book also ending on a cliffhanger. Seriously my only complaint. I hope there will be another book.Â
Youâll like it if:
-you like spanking for fun and disciplineÂ
-strong heroine who doesnât need her men, but learns to want them (think Katniss Everdeen)
-strong storylineÂ
-3.5/5 đśď¸ lots of delicious smut but not anything to depravedÂ
-you love reverse harems
-you enjoy Viking type men
