I was not impressed with this book. It was "okay" but there was too much information without a real ending. I have to read another book to see what is going on? I didn't realize this was a series when I picked it up. Seems like 400+ pages were development and the last few pages was the real quick "ending." Also, why do characters have to fall in love and get engaged/married so quick? The timeframe here was a few weeks and at the end of that the characters were engaged without really knowing anything about each other. It's okay Tami Hoag, they could have kept dating and it really wouldn't of taken away from this dull reading experience.

I grabbed Night Sins by Tami Hoag from my stacks to try and read more of the books I own. This is from WAY back.

Published in 1995, just a year after I graduated high school, this felt so old. All of the male characters, even the one you were supposed to like, were obnoxious. And obnoxiously sexist. Ah, the 90s. We don't miss you.

When a little boy goes missing in a small town, the chief of police drags his feet a bit because this doesn't happen in his town. BCA agent Megan O'Malley pushes hard to find the little boy. I really cheered on Megan, she was a great character and the only one that was worth rooting for. Weird ending, however, but it looks like there are a few follow-up books that may explain things.

A bit repetitive with the internal dialog of Megan and holt, I think the author definitely could have fit all the information maybe in one book instead of two ? Very underwhelming, and the story line/characters had me eye rolling multiple times for being borderline cringe. Idk if I’ll have it in me to read the second one.

I am disappointed. The book started off full of promise. Megan O'Malley has too big a chip on her shoulder. The sex scenes I could do without. The ending was "bleh" to say the least.

Hardcover, no dust jacket. This was actually a book club selection and not bad for a quick read. (not the greatest for a book club though)
