I am super busy with life at the moment and tbh I just do not have the willpower or utter care to read this. I have owned for years and my reading taste has completely changed, therefore just not interested.

Honestly, I'm not super into historical settings but the character work in this book was fantastic. It was really strong at establishing the characters, their struggles, their flaws and their growth. I like how the author didn't make excuses for the flaws either, and wasn't afraid to highlight real issues and showed the main character's perspective in a way that highlighted their privilige without framing it is as something excusable. I'm glad there's another book in this series, I look forward to reading it!

Wow. This book blew me away. Full of humor, wit, and adventure, with a dash of saucy romance. I had such a fun time reading it. The characters are full of life, full of flaws, and impossible not to get attached to. I was expecting a romance, but what I got was a fun, tension-high adventure! The author is a wonderful writer and had me frequently drooling over her imagery.

My only qualm:
SpoilerThe time they were stowaways on the boat. Uh, what did they eat? Where did they go to the bathroom? That was the only part that felt half-baked.

THIS BOOK IS SO FUN. THE CHARACTERS ARE FRUSTRATINGLY LOVABLE. READ IT.

I went in expecting one thing and came out the other side having read something completely different but wonderful all the same. Although set in the 18th century I found the Authors writing style modern and easy to read. Monty is funny, honest and real. His relationship with Percy is something I think most people can learn something from. The book moves at a quick pace while still managing to develop the characters well enough that you become attached to them. I really, really liked this one.

ALL THE STARS. Guys! Hoooly mooooly!! The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue was such an amazing read. Incredible. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it turns out to be a new favorite of mine. It was witty, hilarious, adventurous, adorable, fast-paced – It had everything I could've wished for. Even more than that. I will try to list the things I loved about the book, but it will for sure be a struggle to summarize all the goodness.

The trio!! It's the best of the best. The three of them together: Monty, Percy and Felicity. I just love them. They complement each other perfectly. They are just so great I want to cry.

I also loved the diversity. Because let me tell you, Mackenzi Lee had thought of it all. I loved it.

Something was happening all the time. Mackenzi Lee leads us onto track after track in the story without it being overwhelming – She did an excellent job carrying the characters into new situations without it being too much going on. And I cannot understand how so many things could be packed in a 500 page book. Just WOW.

A tour in Europe, the 18th century, sister/brother relationship, pirates, a tiny bit of magic, a to-die-for M/M romance, good representation, a super intelligent female character, three teen "fugitives" on their own in Europe – It's so much fun. You need to read this book.

Finally, this would be perfect as a movie, I'm just saying.

this is the best book i've read all year. it's so well written. the romance was everything for me. the yearning, the angst, the longing, the 'unrequited' love on both ends. Monty's character growth is brilliant. Monty, Percey and Felicity are so loveable I could read so many more books of just them living life and going on more travels and adventures. I'm going to be thinking about this book for a long time i'm obsessed

*SPOILER TIME*

3.5/5 stars!

I enjoyed this and the romance was probably my favorite aspect of the book! At times, I felt kind of bogged down or just unattached from the plot (not super sure why) but the characters are what helped me to continue. Overall, I enjoyed the setting/time period the story took place in and the characters! It was a pretty average read for me but I’d definitely recommend to others!
