Quite disappointed in this one, as the premise is wonderful (mail order bride accidentally shoots husband before they meet? CMON!). Unfortunately, while Raven is an incredibly dynamic character who lends a lot to the story, Colt doesn't really do much other than be vaguely grumpy and desire his new wife. There's a lot of detail in here about the community of Paradise, Wyoming which is always a lovely feature of Jenkin's writing, but I found the love story to be lacking.
