I love Lauren's sense of humor, and I especially loved the chapters about Gilmore Girls.

Surprisingly  enough, I have never watched a single episode of The Gilmore Girls. *gasps* I have however watched Lauren Graham on Parenthood and throughly enjoyed the show and fell in love with her character. So, why wouldn’t I read a collection of personal essays not only written, but told by her via audiobook?
If anything, it’s made me want to watch Gilmore Girls and check out the hype - though I may end up regretting bingeing another show!

Aside from just being a really great story to listen to, Lauren touches on some things that are so true to not only herself as an actress in the public eye, but for each and everyone of us ‘normal’ people, too. (And she has an entire chapter where she talks about Betty White..I mean, do you even know me? FRICKIN’ BETTY WHITE!)

One of my favorite things that she talked about was diet culture and how terrible it is for people and that how we as a society are so desperate to do anything for a quick fix. She also mentions that her 90-something year old Grandmother has not once ever purchased something that was “Organic” or “GMO-free” and she is doing just fine. (Note this isn’t up for discussion, I’m just saying that..it sort of makes sense!)

All and all if you’re a fan of Lauren, I recommend 100%! And if you’re not a fan or don’t know who she is - I still recommend!

Was a bit bored, which is mainly my fault since when I think about it I don’t really know why I started reading it in the first place. All I’ve seen Graham in is Gilmore girls and Lorelai wasn’t even one of my favourite characters. But the premise of this book sounded quite interesting and it was cheap in the ibook store. And so my 3+ month reading journey of this book begun. I never once picked up this book because I was excited to read it, I always picked it up because I just wanted to finish it. The Gilmore girls chapters where quite fun and she is quite funny overall. I suppose this would be better enjoyed as an audio book. Some things such as the 60 minute writing thing were interesting but things such as mentioning Ellen degeneres 1.000.000 times is definitely not. Also I strongly dislike books with a lot of references and this book had a lot, a LOT of references. So for me this book was not fun to read, it was kind of a struggle, but if you’re a big fan and in audiobook format you’d probably like it.

Lauren Graham is every bit as delightful as Lorelai Gilmore.

I loved this book! It was full of quips! It kept me interested and entertained. It’s exactly what I want and expected! Lauren Graham is able to keep your attention in this funny memoir. She does a good job of not spending too much time on any particular story so that readers lose interest. One of my favorite parts was when she rewatches Gilmore Girls and her thoughts on it now. I recommend this book to ALL fans of Gilmore Girls and people who like to read celebrity memoirs.

I loved every single minute of this. I am watching Gilmore Girls again this fall and I loved the experience of reading this while watching the show.
