What a great story! October Weeks is a #NewToMe author, but as I have been in a horror/thriller mood lately, I thought her book looked great, so I grabbed it!

Delilah and her partner Milly deal with some serious cases of hauntings, and now they come up against what might be their toughest one yet. Weatherby Mills has a dark haunting, and it has no interested in being cleansed. It's going to take everything these women have and then some.

I really enjoyed this book, I thought the characters were charming and engaging, and I enjoyed the concept of the Spirit Society, and how this area had so many dark and disturbing things. Each of their powers are a bit different and come in handy as the face down the main spirit at Weatherby, and the countless others that are there as well.

I really liked the mystery of this book. Up front, I had a feeling it wouldn't be as straightforward as it seemed, but as I continued reading, and digging deeper into the mystery of the Mill, and how it tied to Delilah and her family, I couldn't stop reading. For me, it was a tad bit slow in the beginning, but don't let that hinder you, because once you get into the real nitty gritty of this story, you won't be putting this book down, and you may even struggle to sleep. It's dark, fascinating, and filled with solid, believable lore. I thought everything in this book seemed well researched and put together. I could see this as a real tale of a haunting.

Very well done! I look forward to more stories in this series.
