I don't know whether I like this book or not. the premise is intriguing, a polyamory between married spies and their poet personal assistant. the writing is good, and the plot is...well, decent enough. But then, all of the characters are so one-dimensional and sometimes I feel like I miss lots of chapters with how progressive their relationship are without a proper development. So, yeah.

The smut is hot tho. And it's a lot. There's probably 25% smut in this book, or probably more. Haha. I couldn't careless about the cis-het man named Lane, not like he has a strong personality, but Monica and Kierra are hot together 🥵

I had so much fun reading this short novella! It was just the type of fun and fast read I was looking for.

If I have one real complaint about this novella, it is that the steamy scenes were not as descriptive as I would have liked. Although the scenes were still hot, they just didn't hit the way I wanted them to. I just needed a little bit more from these scenes to rate this novella a 4 or 5 stars.

Regardless, I loved how horny on main Kierra, Lane, and Monica were for each other. They really were just drooling over each other from the moment they met. I stan that. Lol. I just really like it when characters are seriously into each other. Devotion is where it's at for me as a reader. I love it. It's why I'm a sucker for the trope of characters being over-protective of each other. When Monica and Lane were immediately ready to fight to keep Kierra safe? I thrived on that shit. It's just *chef's kiss*

Also. Was the spy stuff super cheesy? Yes. And I loved it. Katrina Jackson really leaned into the tropes of the spy genre(?), and it made for such a fun read. I definitely enjoyed that the characters were self-aware enough to know they were being far too horny on main to do their jobs as well as they could have but still being unable to help themselves. Still. Monica and Lane still kicked ass, and that's all I care about.

So, yeah. I loved this spy romance. I love that it served me the poly vibes Katrina Jackson is so good at serving. Honestly, I wish Katrina Jackson exclusively wrote poly books because I would eat them like candy. I need so many more books that feature poly relationships. It's all about the unabashed love and dedication to more than one person for me.
