I’m not going to give The Audition a rating because I’m a little stumped. I actually thought the book was more of a romance than just mostly BDSM. I don’t read a lot of erotica, but in that area, The Audition was well done. The sex scenes were hot and very detailed. But I didn’t feel anything emotionally for the characters or their relationship. Also, the book felt more like a short story than a novella. BDSM erotica readers will likely enjoy The Audition, but the book just isn’t from one of my favorite genres.

Wow. It's been a while since I was left satisfied by a novella. Great read.
Allie & Nikolai are two people sharing the same passion: music. They are pianists and former friends.
Grown apart since an accident that damaged famous Nikolai, they are brought together again when Allie decides to get her life back by auditioning at Juillard. Knocking on his door for help, she finds out that he is not the man she once knew. He takes it upon himself to tutor her for her audition and that is when she finds out his peculiar tastes in bed and his unorthodox way of helping her find her passion for music again.
Nikolai was such a refreshing hero. No cheesy lines and he trully held a certain air of stoic determination in his interactions with Allie.
Great BDSM romance and wonderful flow. I will be reading more from this author.
5 Stars.
