Het boek las lekker snel weg, maar kan niet als innovatieve en hoogstaande thriller worden beschouwd (zoals op de cover van het boek staat). Ik had er meer van verwacht. Maar zoals gezegd, een vermakelijk boek.

The story begins with Audra running away from her abusive husband. Audra is traveling from New York to California with her 2 kids to start a new life. While driving across the United States, her vehicle is stopped by a local sheriff. That’s where the story gets real interesting…don’t want to give away any spoilers.

This story is a great example of what a mom would do for her children and what mothers have nightmares about! A little unbelievable at times, but the story is a good one and I would recommend it.

Wow! What a page turner. I loved this book. A bit far fetched in parts, but I was hooked. Great read! Very suspenseful.

Very well written! Not sure why the author used a different pen name for this novel. The entire book was suspenseful and some parts were a little disturbing. I never liked the sherif from the beginning. I love how Audra progressed into such a strong woman!

Super engaging and action-packed. It's like a movie...fast-paced. Even though the antagonists are revealed pretty early on, it doesn't take away the excitement of finding out what happens. It's a sordid topic if these things actually happen in real life (it probably does).

Very slow and didn’t feel like the story was building up to anything interesting
