Great retelling of Star Wars through the lives of three of the most prominent characters of the saga! Alexandra Bracken does wonders in portraying these characters in a way that stays very true to the movie saga. Wonderful story!

The audio is great and includes some sound effects. It was fun to hear the story this way. The story shares some of the thoughts and motivations of the characters as we see it unfold through the eyes of Han, Luke and Leia.

I haven't read any books written by Alexandera Bracken but I do have them lying around somewhere since I got her books for free at New York Comic Con. I did enjoy her small retelling of Episode IV. These trilogy retellings are clearly written for a younger audience but still enjoyable to read. It's nice to not have to use the brain too much to read some fun stories.

Clearly this book is meant for 11-13 year olds but still a fun, fast read.  What I loved most about this book was that it gave us the little details the movie couldn't --> like General Kenobi recognizing R2-D2 or Luke being tested on a simulator before joining the Rebellion.  A fun read that gives the reader the perspective of a New Hope from its three lead characters.

After reading Star Wars books off and on for several years, and starting with none other than the original official version of A New Hope, my copy so old it just said STAR WARS on the cover, when they said they were going to redo it, I was excited and a little worried.

However there's nothing to fear. This book isn't like the original, where it's for people who haven't seen the movies or knows much of anything about this world. This edition is for the old fans who are supposed to know what was going on with the other characters, including Vader, while Bracken focused on first Leia, then Han, and lastly Luke our MC. And it adds just a little more layers to an old story, making it shiny and new and beautiful to read.

A fast read, I powered through this very quickly. Star Wars fans of all ages can pick this book up and enjoy it from the second Leia's ship is boarded to that moment when Luke and Han and Chewy have their medals. The artwork doesn't hurt it at all and added something a little different from the old Star Wars novels I've picked up.

Soy fan de la saga y cómo me paso con los anteriores, siento que me completa un montón la historia de las películas, además la lectura fue súper ágil.
