This book was spiritually disturbing, homophobic, and heavy on the pro life propaganda. And beyond that...it wasn’t good. Do not recommend.

I was super excited when I saw that Sister Souljah had written a second book about Winter Santiaga. I struggled between giving the book 1 and 2 stars. Even though I can say I didn't care for the book, wouldn't recommend it, or read it again I could see what the author was trying to do. I contemplated not finish the book several times but stuck it out. The ending was okay but the book was a bit much IMO.

Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
It took me a long time to start this book and to be honest I didn’t finish it (DNF around 20% in). I just couldn’t get over the language and there wasn’t much of a plot in my opinion. I’ve also never read the first book in the series which might have made it a bit less confusing at first.
I tried REALLY hard to keep reading and picked up the book several times but ultimately I didn’t like the book, and didn’t find the lead character likeable, and relatable.

Absurd plot that did not align with what I expected from the first book, Coldest Winter Ever. This book is essentially, a paranomal urban fiction and that's not what I signed up for.

I actually didn’t finish. It wasn’t really my kind of book. I’m a big fan of her previous books but this one was a little demonic for me. I respect everyone’s religious beliefs but the things I read went against mine.

I'm a little upset that I put a book down to start reading this. I waited over a decade for a sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever. I'm not alone.
I'm not going to give away any spoilers. I absolutely see what the weird ride of hell, the Bible, the Koran, the devil and his minions as well as redemption... I see how it all tied together at the end. Winter needed it. But the blurb was misleading. It being written this way? I'm not sure the ending was as satisfying as it should have been. At least for me.
