This was fine, I appreciated the F1 knowledge as I am a huge fan, but this is definitely an autobiography rather than a memoir and for once I could really feel the difference. It would be much more interesting as a memoir and as fun as it all sounds (hmmm) I care nothing for the glitz and glam and so much more about the personal relationships and feelings.

I found this to be a very intriguing book. I started watching Formula One properly during Jenson Button's last season so didn't really know much about him or his career. This book changed that (obviously). There was a natural humour throughout the book, Button came across as a genuine person. It was really interesting to learn about the highs and lows of his career and his relationship with other drivers I do know more about. Some of the relationships he described were surprising and quite eye opening, others were just what you expected. Though I didn't understand all of it, it was fascinating to learn more about the technical side of Formula One. Thanks to Mr Button, I know what makes wet tyres different to their slick counterparts. I found the ending of the book so sad, it was devastating to read about his Father's death and how it impacted him and his career. Throughout the book, it was obvious how much his Dad meant to him and how proud his Dad was. I knew I would enjoy this book but I didn't realise I would become so invested. Is it too late to be a Jenson Button fan?

this was entertaining and a very very easy read. would recommend it more than a book like 'how to build a car' in terms of f1 knowledge just because it covers the sport as a whole, from a driver's perspective, which is really interesting insight.
shame it was ghostwritten, because it was so personal - maybe i need to deal with my thoughts on ghostwriters another day. definitely enjoyed though.

As a lifelong Formula 1 fan, and an admirer of Jenson Button, this turned out to be a great read. More of Button's humor, which has come out in interviews and race radio transmissions, came out. And it was great insight to some of the behind the scenes wranglings of F1, and his relationship with his father (Papa Smurf). I'd go 4 1/2 stars on this, enjoying the book more than I expected.

Only pick it up if you're a fan. A lot of chapters focus on specific races and seasons so if you're not a fan it might not be the best reading material.
As a fan though I enjoyed reading it. There's a lot of little behind the scenes snippets that fills in the gaps about the things I've seen on TV/the media. My only gripe is that I hoped he would go into a bit more detail about his routines in the different stages of his career especially related to his fitness and training.
