Dorian, aka Ghost, is being hunted by a wraith from his past.

When a note attached to an arrow found its mark on his waist, he knew for sure that Wraith was not a trick his mind was conjuring up. The feeling of eyes on him watching his every move made him more confident that the person whom he thought was dead was actually alive.

GJC

Grace doesn’t feel like her name is fitting anymore, not after what she did. Going by Ray after what happened years ago when Dorian got captured was a start in another direction. Wraith was another victim of the same people who had turned their back on Dorian. Now the secrets she was keeping are about to get out. Secrets she made sure Dorian didn’t find out.

When the past comes back to haunt them both, Ghost and Wraith are going to be forced into making some hard decisions to protect each other and the people they love.

This book has been sitting in my TBR for a while now. I’ve been meaning to read this series, one book after the other, but I couldn’t. Now I’m glad I’ve finally picked it up because it blew me away. I’ve always been curious about Dorian’s story. He was this mysterious broody guy who knew his way in the wild. That’s why I was also hesitant to read his story. But this book didn’t disappoint.

GJC-3

Ghost by Janie Crouch combines suspense, romance, and action brilliantly. It gave off a few Lexi Blake vibes, but not exactly the same. You get a past lover coming back from the dead, kick-ass female character, secret evil projects and brainwashing. This book differs from the first ones in the series and the plot twist at the end makes it even more brilliant.

There’s nothing I hated about it. The characters, plot, theme, and everything this book offered was flawless. Janie Crouch writes books filled with emotions and suspense. I’d recommend this book to every romance suspense lover.

GJC-1

I thought I had the plot figured out, then the twist came out of nowhere and I have never been happier to be proven wrong. Reading the book, I thought I could predict what would happen, but I was only half right. It was so well written that I couldn’t put it down once I started it.

This book and all the other Janie Crouch I’ve got the chance to read were remarkable. I can’t wait to dive into the other books and read the other character's stories.

Every once in a while a book grabs hold so tightly that you just can put it down, Ghost is one of those books. I went into this one with the intention of taking it slow and savoring the story of Ghost and the woman capable of capturing his heart. Instead, I literally devoured it. Dorian piqued my interest from his very first appearance in the Linear Tactical series, and he certainly doesn't disappoint here. Ghost is, by far, the most emotional book in the series, and there were times that I really didn't like Grace, but in the end I knew she was exactly what Dorian needed. Even when this pair was making me a little crazy, it was obvious that they were meant for each other. Add in the danger and intrigue that Janie Crouch does so well, and this is one thrilling read from cover to cover. The Linear Tactical series is made up of standalones, and Ghost is no different, but they are all set in the same world and revolve around the wonderful characters that make up this family. Once you've met them, you'll want to know more of their stories. I love that even when there are some loose ends from one book to the next, everything is explained wonderfully to catch the reader up and maintain the standalone stories. For me, this crazy bunch of characters who would do anything for each other have become a little like family, and I can't wait to see what's next for them.

I absolutely loved this book!!! It pulled me in from beginning to end and absolutely kept me guessing on what was going to happen next. This book can be read as a stand alone but you might feel more connected to the Ghost and his friends if you've read previous books in the series. I have wanted Ghost's, or Dorian's, story from the beginning. You can tell he has a lot going on and he's trying to survive. The guys at Linear Tactical are a family and you can absolutely see that. I was rooting for Dorian to find his happy ending. I loved Wraith, or Grace/Ray, as well. She is a kick butt woman and is out to find and stop someone that is killing people from their old black ops unit. There is a ton to digest with Project Crypt (black ops unit/project). It really keeps you guessing on what exactly is going to pop up next and what twist can then be thrown in. This story has plenty of action, adventure, and intrigue to keep you engaged and the story moving along. It also has plenty of the emotional/relationship side of things. It's all blended together very well. Once I started reading this book, I never wanted to put it down. I would love to see more of Dorian and Ray and can't wait for the next book in Linear Tactical series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I have been intrigued by Dorian's character since the first book of the Linear Tactical series and only grew to love him through the books. Janie did not disappoint with his book and has given Dorian the story he so richly deserves, and has done so with such vivid and heartfelt emotions that the reader is left overwhelmed by the power of this book. I knew I’d be hooked right away and I wasn’t wrong. The pacing and the plot of this book is heart racing and mind blowing. The plot is full of not only romance, but intrigue and mystery. A formidable combination!

Fast-paced and a bit grittier than previous the stories in the series, this was a tough read at times as both Grace and Dorian deal with the lingering after effects of severe trauma. Watching Dorian's struggle with panic attacks and Grace's stress can be seen as difficult for some. However, their commitment to finding the truth, dismantling the group that is hunting them, and rebuilding not only their relationship but a life that they can share with others shows the strength in both of these characters. Definitely a must read for fans of Janie Crouch and this series.

The Linear Tactical Series, much like it’s characters, is an unstoppable force!
I have been waiting for Dorian’s book since he was first introduced. He is one of the most intriguing characters I’ve read in quite some time. And Ray, she was every bit as interesting as he was! Mysterious and brilliant, strong and protective, I couldn’t get enough of them. The push and pull, the secrets, the passion, I loved it all.

Two Souls Slightly Bent but Not Broken

Two damaged souls find each other against all odds and learn to trust one another again. I loved watching Ray and Dorian find each other again. If two souls truly deserve a happily ever after it would be these two. Ghost is a heart wrenching journey but so very worth it. Ms. Crouch is a masterful story teller who does not disappoint.
