Summer's Snow was a book that I could stay up reading all night just to finish. It was full of cozy, fun filled banter, action filled scenes, and fierce loyalties with fairytale vibes.

Tropes/themes:
One bed
Fated Mates
Nightmare comfort
Who did this to you
Strong MCs
Fairytale retelling (Snow White/Sleeping Beauty)
Multiple POV
Magic, Fae, and creatures
Betrayal

Nic and Misha are powerful twin sisters who come into their full powers on their upcoming 22nd birthday. With their stepmother ruling in their stead until the twins are of age, many changes are on the horizon for the sisters. Upon the solstice celebration and their birthday, the girls find out many secrets, visions, and betrayals. I loved the strength of each twin with their differences. The MMCs are fierce, loyal, and witty. I loved the banter and steamy scenes. The MMC is to swoon for.

The amount of details the author puts into this world is amazing. It is well thought out and easily followed. I loved the character development and depth of the relationships. I can't wait to see more of the twins.

I loved the sisterly bond and family dynamics throughout this book. Most of all, loved Ras. I wish Nic’s character had grown more throughout the story. It seemed like she was stuck in the same, stubborn place until the very end. I often found her frustratingly immature instead of brave and strong. Very hopeful to see her grow in the second book!

I want to start this review off by thanking Carly for sending me an ARC of her debut book, it's such an honor!!! Next I want to say.... well. freaking. done. This was such an enjoyable and easy read that had me captivated from the beginning!

Summer's Snow is a Snow White AND Sleeping Beauty re-imagining starring the Briar twins, Nicole and Misha Briar. The world building is fantastic because I never once felt lost or confused (unless I was supposed to) and I felt like I was able to grasp everything as its intended. The book was slow in the beginning, but definitely not boring as I was easily engaged the entire time. Personally, I'm a fan of slow and detail-filled beginnings, because it builds a sort of anticipation for when the ball is about to drop - and halfway through the book we're gifted with that delicious turn of events. I was equally shocked as much as I was expecting it - and the way the rest of the book had me on my toes just waiting to see how everything would play out is the kind of reading experience I live for. Not to mention another aspect that had me absolutely living... the delicious TENSION between two of the MCs. Were there moments that had me giggling and squealing? YES.

If you're a fan of the following tropes:
- one bed
- found family
- friends to lovers
- enemies to lovers
- "who did this to you"
- "touch her and you will be *unalived*"
then you need to add this to your TBR pronto.

Lastly, the way Carly was able to write and meld two different beloved fairy tale stories into one re-imagining was done brilliantly. I can't wait to see what's in store for book 2! Like... actually can't wait I want to read it now.
