3.5 stars. I enjoyed the 3 main characters in the story and the narrative shifts. Called the main twist fairly early on but the overall resolution of the drama was very surprising. A worthwhile read for fans of thriller with cult subject!

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I found it a bit slow at times, and it is hard to read all of the chapters involving Sir. But - i was so deep into the plot, with a couple big twists that I didn’t expect!! Though the end…. Ugh I wanted more.

Hard to keep track. Plus I hate reading detailed accounts of child abuse. Especially psychological. It’s not interesting to me

There's something about Maine's isolated islands that lend themselves to cults, retreats, mysteries, etc.. and Wrobel makes the most of that. We have several POVs, and its only towards the end that it becomes clear whose voice is the one belonging to Madame Fearless (I guessed wrong!). As one of the "sisters in jeopardy/missing" books, this isn't bad but it doesn't do a lot different from the others. I wanted more development or change from the sisters we meet here, and more about Wisewood's curriculum (at times it felt as though things were thrown in just to move the plot forward).
