“I think we can all agree that this fully checks out and that indeed it is men who are the true victims of witch hunts. Which they invented. To kill women.”
Excellent. Lindy West's writing is both hilarious and hard hitting. She speaks with such hard truths I'm often take aback by her words. At the same time, she is able to use her (excellent) sense of humour to take the edge of these hard truths.

Lindy's articulate take downs of so many toxic forces in our current culture are deeply satisfying. More please.

This book was really funny, well-written, and at times even educational. I will admit that I already agreed with almost everything that the author said, which obviously helped with my enjoyment of it, though there were some minor things (not actual ideals, just her interpretation of a few little pop culture things) that I wasn't 100% sure I agreed with. I also appreciated how laugh-out-loud funny Lindy West was able to be while still covering some super serious topics.

A strong collection of essays by Ms. West, full of heart, humor, and hope, about the happenings of the last 4 years—including the alt-right, misogyny, fatphobia, the impending environmental disaster, and racism.
Tomorrow can always be a new beginning.

I did enjoy this, but nothing felt new or and honestly is pretty much shouting into an echo chamber.

I like Lindy West's take on pretty much anything, and this didn't disappoint.

This book is funny, and West is sharp-witted and snarky in the best way throughout. While the ideas aren't necessarily unique to the book, West's personal narrative added a lot, and I did enjoy listening to her cultural critique through her lens.

Every bit as laugh out loud funny, yet painfully real and thought provoking, as Shrill. You can always count on Lindy West to tell it like it is and call us all out on our bs. A great read not only to be a better, more understand human being, but also for gearing up for the 2020 election.
