This still isn't noir (see review #1 and #2), but it is way better than the previous volume. Thankfully these have little to do with each other, so you can just skip to this one.

In this one, we get a story about a possessed car that murders people before getting to the main tale of the volume, which is about a man who kills people, stitches them together a la Frankenstein, and then reanimates them. Again, a la Frankenstein. Seems that back in the day, Cal,our MC, is the one who put him in jail, so now that he has broken out, he is coming to kill Cal.

In this one we get to meet Cal's girlfriend, who was mentioned previously, but never shown. It's fine in that she provides another person that can be in danger, and she is an ok character in general, but.. eh, I guess?

The very end caught me completely off guard, because I did not know this was that kind of book, but the rest seemed pretty standard fare. Pretty monster of the week, but with the monster also hunting our MC. Way better than "Last Train to Deadsville", but that's not saying a lot.
