The slitheen aren't my favorite and so I was kind of meh about the first couple stories of this volume. The timey-wimey shenanigans in the last story were fun, though. Cool Mickey and Nine crossing paths? Yes please! haha

Iā€™m a little disappointed it was 3 stories instead of a longer one. Still fun to see Rose and the Doctor. Seeing Mickey was a surprise!!

Liked this book more than the previous book, the two stories included are both fun and interesting, although the stakes feel almost nonexistent, but I think that is just par for the course when making comics based on this franchise.

(Spoilers are for the TV show rather than the comic itself)

I'm glad these were made after The Doctor had regenerated several times because it helps fit the stories neatly into canon without any handwaving or retconning and lets them include lots of references for fans. But, saying that, it took me literally until the last page to realise that Mickey's (silent) wife is actually
Martha Jones
...he literally just calls her "my wife" the entire time šŸ˜. My memory is terrible, and I had completely forgotten what happened
to Mickey and Martha once The Doctor left them
, so I spent the whole time trying to figure out what bizarre parallel universe this comic was set in šŸ™ˆ

They included lots of flashbacks at the start of that issue showing Mickey with The Doctor and Rose in the past, so we knew who he was, but they never mentioned
Martha
outside of her just being "Mickey's wife", which is a bit rude to
Martha
, I think! One quick panel of
her with Ten
would have been very helpful to me at least šŸ˜‚

Anyway, I love that this is a whole series with recurring characters etc. rather than self-contained books, and I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to the rest!
