Naja - die Story ist hier schon ein bissle arg dünn und das Mordmotiv resp. die Täter-Opfer-Konstellation fand ich etwas mäh... Außerdem wird noch Nathalies Beziehung zu ihrem Freund thematisiert, und auch das ist für mich irgendwie nicht wirklich gelungen. Der arme Polizist kommt für meinen Geschmack auch ein bissle arg schlecht weg - der wird mir dauerhaft zu dumm-doof dargestellt, etwas sehr eindimensional. Insgesamt hat es mir aber durchaus gefallen- leichte Unterhaltung zur Ablenkung in einem schönen Kleinstadt-Setting, also werde ich wohl auch Teil 3 dieses Sammelbands noch hören. Ob ich da aber so bald nachlegen muss, weiss ich nicht.

Although I think this book is slightly better than the first book in the series, I still believe that the plot and the crime could and should have been more complicated and difficult to solve.
I really like the main character Natalie Ames as she tries to solve a murder mystery in a small town a la Miss Marple, but this book lacks the excitement and the sophisticated plot. I honestly expect a detective fiction to be more thrilling.

"Die letzten Worte des Ian O'Shelley" ist der 2. Teil der "Tee? Kaffee? Mord!" Reihe von Autorin Ellen Barksdale.

Auch den 2. Teil fand ich wieder unterhaltsam. Er hat mir aber nicht ganz so gut gefallen wie sein Vorgänger. Für zwischendurch ist das aber wirklich eine tolle Reihe. Man kann sich schön berieseln lassen. Die Fälle sind unblutig und die Protagonisten sympathisch. Mir persönlich fehlt aber leider die Spannung. Irgendwie fesselt es mich noch nicht genug. Dennoch vergebe ich 3,5 Sterne für die gute Unterhaltung.
