Not sure if I can say I liked it.
To be honest, most of the book is actually excellent and suspenseful. When I was at 70% of it I thought it must be a five stars read.
But when the truth of the mystery is revealed, GOD SAVE ME! It's simply disgustingly perverted that I almost vomit.
Now, I really need a good Rom-Com to recover from this 🥲

What the fuck did I just read? I love Alice Feeney as an author, but I found the depictions of child abuse, animal abuse, rape, and at the end...incest (again, what the actual fuck???) to be disturbing.

Literally what the fuck? At the end of the book she finds out her husband is actually her brother AND THEN SAYS SHE WANTS TO HAVE A BABY WITH HIM? (albeit just to get out of the situation) but then actually falls pregnant with her brother's baby? I feel sick to my stomach with this book. So disappointed.

This was very twisty, had a very strong psychological vibe aswell. 

Quite dark in places I would say also.

 I really enjoy Alice Feeney’s writing style, it is so easy to read. 

Highly recommend.

Now THAT was a twist I didn’t expect(eeked out is an understatement). If I’d been reading it in physical book form,I’d want to boil it.

Listened to it on 1.5 speed.I’m not sure if it’s the writing or the voice actor’s reading pace, but if it’s on normal speed I zone out within 5 minutes.Speeding it up turned it into a straight-through listen.
