I give this one a 4.5 (not an option on the star rating scale)! I loved it, had everything: history, detective work, thrill, a bit of romance and a satisfying conclusion with a bit of cliffhanger to lead to the next book in the series, which I will be reading!

I really enjoyed this debut novel. You are pulled into it right from the first page and it doesn't let you go.
A mixture of crime and ghost it was different to other books I have read, spooky, gory and also funny in the interactions between the main characters. It was good to see PCSOs feature as well.
Will definitely read more by this author and would recommend her book.

I’ve read plenty of books by this author and this being her first it wasn’t the best I’ve read. A little bit flimsy in places and cheesy. But still worth a read if you like a bit of ghost thrown in with crime! Helen is one of my fav authors so I had to read this.

really liked this book though if it hadn't been free probably wouldn't have ever read it! Just shows you should try other genres when you can!

The Ghost House was very readable, if very melodramatic. The characters are a bit two-dimensional and the wrap up of the story a little twee but overall this is great fun if you like a ghost story and want to suspend reality for a few hours!  There are some slightly annoying punctuation errors in the ebook which might bother some more than others.

Great book.! I could not put it down.
Annie Graham is a great character and she is so believable. I've wondered what I would do if, like Annie, I were able to see beings that are not there. Would I be impressed or spooked? Maybe both and certainly not are courageous as Annie. Book 2 in the series is already on my e-reader.

Good book, but could use a heavier hand in editing. This book is listed as YA, but I have to doubt that a lot of young adults reading this book need the finer points of sexual attraction spelled out. Still, the story itself was interesting, although the diary entries got a little long and distracting after awhile. Also, the story was wrapped up a little too fast, almost acknowledging how rambling it got and the need to resolve it quickly. An enjoyable read, overall.

I read the book Ghost House as a reader not an editor, since there were no outrageous mistakes, likes the wrong words used or words mixed around in a sentence I paid attention to the story which was FANTASTIC. If you like romance, ghosts, crime, mystery, this is the book for you. I can't wait to go on to the next book. People need to read a book for the story not look for mistakes that don't slap you in the face. Run on sentences please that is ridiculous to even notice, I guess I read so fast i just wanted to know what happened next.
