Deadpool takes a trip to Japan and becomes deputized by Captain America to protect Japan from the evil-doers there. Immediately, we get a Spider-Man stand-in, Sakura Spider, and later, another Venom-type symbiote who achieved stasis with a super popular Idol named Neiro. Neiro affectionally calls her symbiote Kage (Japanese for Shadow), but he seems to not want nicknames nor to get attached to anyone. Through plenty of fourth-wall breaks and lots of references to other manga and anime series, Deadpool and his two compatriots try to thwart the plans of the supervillain Loki.

Ich bin ein wenig unsicher, wie ich den Manga einschätzen soll. Inhaltlich hat er, meiner Meinung nach, nichts zu bieten. Die Handlung war relativ langweilig und nichtssagend. Allerdings liebe ich den Deadpool-Humor und allein dafür habe ich das dann wieder gern gelesen. Sehr schwer einzuordnen.
Deadpool tritt dem Samurai Squad bei. Erst besteht der nur aus ihm und einem kleinen Mädchen, Sakura Spider. Später kommt noch ein sehr interessanter Charakter dazu, allerdings ist das auch theoretisch ein kleines Mädchen. Warum das so gewählt wurde, weiß ich nicht und finde ich bei dem typischen Deadpool-Humor nicht gut gewählt. Der ist ja doch auch oft anzüglich.
Auf jeden Fall bekämpfen sie in diesem Band bereits einige Bösewichte, was mich allerdings nichts so überzeugt hat. Lediglich durch den abgefahrenen Humor von Deadpool war es dann eine gute Unterhaltung für mich.
Viele bekannte Charaktere aus dem Marvel-Universum bekommen ihren Auftritt, was dann wieder mit dem bereits beschriebenen Humor unterlegt wird.
Es gab auch einen Haufen Anspielungen auf Filme und Mangareihen, was ich sehr genial fand, aber eben auch nur bei den Leuten ankommt, die diese kennen. Ob jeder Marvel-Fan sich auch mit Mangas auskennt, bezweifel ich jetzt aber. Daher ist der Manga glaube ich nur für eine sehr spezifische, kleinen Lesergruppe etwas.
Ich fand ihn zwar sehr witzig, würde aber für Band 2 nicht wieder 10 Euro ausgeben wollen. Daher weiß ich nicht nicht ob ich weiter lese.
Band 1 lag eine schöne und witzige Postkarte bei.
