One of the best of Tamera Alexander. Great characters, beautiful setting and an amazing story of redemption, grace and the power of forgiveness.

I found the story line somewhat far-fetched in this one, mostly the part about her being a professor. Were there really female professors with doctorates back then? I'm not sure. I'll have to look that up. Anyway, I love how Tamera doesn't sugar-coat the main character's sin, but brings her to a place of true repentance (not sorry she got caught or sorry for the consequences but sorry for sinning against a holy God) and then shows God's grace and forgiveness.

Sigh.........
I read this book about four years ago and I felt the need to re-read it, and I am so very glad I did.
The characters truly come alive and you can feel their hope and heartache.
I truly beautiful story, full of the evidence of God's grace. Just. Perfect.
