The story really went downhill with this one. As I said in my review of book 10, they can and should have ended it there. 11 is not necessary, and it feels like scrambling for content. It’s all choppy with no logical or smooth transitions between scenes, the focus feels lost, and sometimes even the translation is somewhat ambiguous. For example, “They’re from the milky way”. As are we. Earth is a part of the Milky Way. That is the least helpful bit of dialogue ever and it’s treated like a huge revelation.
