This is the second in the series of Steele Secrets.
Mary Steele is transported to a black schoolhouse where she meets the head teacher Charlotte and 12 children who were all killed. Mary takes it upon herself to find out who did it and why.
Mary is very serious when it comes to finding out the truth and getting justice for the souls that communicate with her. She is an activist and a remarkable girl.
I recently listened to book 1 and loved it, book 2 is just as good if not even more remarkable. It is raw but very real and emotional about racism and sadly young children and their teacher, who perished through no fault of their own.
Andi writes books that will pull at your heartstrings and make you aware that even today these things happen, sadly.
The narrator Aven Shore did a wonderful job narrating this, her voice was perfect.
Bring on book 3!

I received this audiobook at no-cost from Audiobook Empire. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
