I loved Rain and Wes in this book. I love a different type of story than the normal. I loved everything about this story except for having to wait for the ending! BB, I can’t believe you ended a book like that and left us hanging. Please send me the third book. Haha. Can’t wait!!

It was just as good as the first one. So good. Loved the humour and loved the serious bits. Can’t wait to see how it ends!

Okay, hold up! I thought the second book couldn't possibly outshine the first, But it was even better!! AND WHAT WAS THAT ENDING? I NEED TO READ BOOK 3 ASAP.

That is what I yelled when I finished this book. I know that book three is not far behind, but this series is gonna ruin my world one bullet at a time. Rain and Wes’ story picks up and takes off with a bang right out the gate. This part of the book puts emphasis on f em’ and survive and that’s for damn sure what these two do.
They cling to one another and the way BB has crafted their relationship shows the depth of their love for one another. There are some harsh truths and tough choices placed in front of them. The level of angst and emotions this tale wrings out of you is destructive and beyond powerful. Realizations beyond anyone’s wildest dreams come to light and the downfall of civilization is more imminent than before.
BB showcases her talent in the progress the pair makes, both emotional and mentally despite all the challenges. Then that ending, Lord have mercy...didn’t see it coming and I am flabbergasted at the turn of events.
Truly a master with her words, witty and clever, romantic and sweet, damning and redeeming...this installment will knock your socks off.

After sitting stunned to silence, because this book left me speechless, I went back and in the beginning of the book I made a note of my very first reactions. I wrote; “Freedom in a mass of chaos is something you wouldn’t expect to feel but it’s there and in all the chaos you hold the ones you love tighter”. While this may not make sense to some, to me it’s does, the entire time this book was screaming one thing and longing for the most common desire we all want. And the way BB connects the chaos and the reality, the rational and “what am I reading” is masterful. It’s this brilliant burst of every emotion that we are actually feeling now in this present day in a world that is just to crazy it could really happen.
So get comfortable because once you start that first chapter you will not be able to put it down. Bravo, BB!!
