Easily one of THE BEST finales I have ever read! And it cemented Renegades as one of my favourite trilogies!
All the little storylines worked together to perfect this epic conclusion and there is now a Renegades shaped hole in my heart. Send help.

BUT ALSO SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A SPINOFF IN THE WORKS???

I’m too lazy to re-type my review from storygraph, so I’ll just say that this was my second time reading this series. I first read it in 7th grade (?) and I remember loving it. Glad to say my feelings haven’t changed :)

I can’t believe I made it this far in the series and didn’t dnf. That definitely deserves a round of applause.

After really disliking [b:Gilded|56614597|Gilded (Gilded, #1)|Marissa Meyer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1614276588l/56614597._SY75_.jpg|87067360], this series is making me wonder if I’m going off of Meyer’s writing. It just feels like there are many things that have been set up but not paid off. More and more, her characters are two dimensional and don’t develop like real humans.

The entire three book plot was just a poorly veiled disguise to have some forced romance between two nameless characters. Why do I say nameless? Because they don’t feel real. Emotions? What emotions? Feelings? Complex thought processes? Meh.

Okay, so it took me three months to finish this book. It wasn't because I didn't like it (I did give it four stars), but because I tend to struggle with endings. I'll stop reading before the end because I don't want it to end.

Anyhow, I have to sat that throughout the series, there was a pretty good mix of predictability and out of the blue events.

In this book, I felt like some of the things didn't go the way I thought they would, but it was still predictable. On the other hand, some things hit me like a ton of bricks. LIKE HOLY FRICK THAT ENDING, THOUGH. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING AT ALL!

So, yeah, overall, it was a great series. It was different and entertaining. The romance was alright. There were definitely a lot of twists and turns. It also makes you think about stuff, so it's not all fun, mindless action.

I would definitely recommend this series to my friends!

This was a great book! I had a hard time getting into at the beginning and I wasn't really sure where this book was going to go, but I loved where it went. I literally read the last 200 pages in one go and loved every minute. This book made me feel sorrow, rage, and joy so fully and I love that I did.

I’m not that surprised to be saying that this book was amazing, considering I loved the first two books in the trilogy so much! This one upped the stakes to a crazy level, and even though I’d been away from the characters for a while I found it easy to slip back into this world. The romance and the plotting was masterful, as I have always found with Marissa Meyer’s books and I will always think of her work as inspiration for how to create plot twists. Boy oh boy, were there some plot twists in this by the way. I seriously couldn’t have seen any of them coming. I’m not really into superheroes, but this series has to be an exception for me and I can’t wait to someday reread them and see all of the glorious foreshadowing! I really recommend the Renegades series for anyone who loves superheroes, or anyone who wants to break into that genre!
