This was my first James Patterson book. I don't know why I waited to so long to read his books. Really enjoyed his re-telling of these crimes

I've read James Patterson before, so I had an idea of what to expect. This did not meet my expectations. It felt substandard compared to previous works that I've read. I loved the short chapters because I have a crazy busy job, but I was not "in love" with the book. Even the writing lacks the "on the edge of my seat" effect.
The two stories in this book are true-crime cases. It's great that Patterson wants to branch out, but I hope his other books are better than this.

Nice idea but badly written. Like reading something written in 5 minutes.

James Patterson never ceases to amaze me.
First story was a fast paced but very gore and full of blood.. I loved it! The second story made me feel like I was watching a Criminal Minds episode, which I find spectacular!!

This was an interesting book because, as much as the stories felt like thrillers from Patterson, they were based on real stories. This lent an element of shock to the tales that I enjoyed. Very interesting read and recommended if you're into crime books.
Note for Parents/Teachers: Keep in mind that these short stories are loaded with violence and gore.
