This book is stuck in my head, replaying scenes over and over trying to find meanings to them.  The symbolism and character development also has kept me thinking.  Exactly what I look for in a book.

Truly, hell is other people. Shirley Jackson and I had the same brain, I swear.

it was an interesting book.
I really enjoyed reading it, and I found the writing style readable.
SpoilerI still can't figure out why Mary Katherine put arsenic in the sugar and it makes me wonder if I didn't understand something in the book
I loved how the author played with the gothic genre and how she managed to let us enter Mary Katherine's mind and I truly appreciated how well-depicted the villagers were
A book you need to read!

I love Merricat's style of narration and how the two sisters look out for each other. If you're looking for a non-romantic version of a fucked up love story, this is it.

Another book read because it was a favorite of Suzanne Collins', I did not know what to expect going into this and I really enjoyed it. A deeply layered text with so much complexity, its ambiguity is also its brilliance.
