As a big Tessa Bailey fan, I couldn’t wait to dig into another of her books. Don’t get me wrong, the comedic moments were great (Jude being prime example as the comedic character) and the spice! In my opinion, I think it needed holding off just a bit as there was no build up of the tension between the characters and with all the spice, the plot got lost in the background. This book is definitely insta-love but also insta-LUST.
This book moved very quick and so I felt like a lot could have been built upon but wasn’t. There were a few moments where I did cringe (looking at you chapter 4)!
I adored Jude and wanted even more - I wanted to know more about him and Dante and that whole situation. Both Myles and Taylor did annoy me at times and as it was so rushed, I didn’t connect with their relationship as well as I usually would. I got lust vibes and not so much romance until the last third of the book. I don’t mind insta-love but with this all happening over 5 days, it was TOO instant.
Overall, I think this book has a lot of potential, but think it just needed a little more attention to detail (quite a few grammar mistakes that made it a little harder to read) and time.

It’s an interesting premise, but ultimately, the characters felt more like caricatures than real people. It was an enjoyable read, but I found myself skimming parts because they were too cliche or insta-love. If you want a cute rom-com, it’s okay, but if you’re looking for mystery, that is definitely not its strength.
also what happens to Jude and the movie star??? Is this a spin off??? I need more information
