Well just holy shit balls! I loved this book so hard!!!!! Tobias was a cocky douche to start and I was like oh hell no I’m not gonna be into this but that part was so IMPORTANT to show not only his growth as a person but to show that he was hiding who he really was and why! And boy he redeemed himself into the sweetest fucking MAN! Ugh!!!!
Meyer…. Ugh that girl! She was STRONG! And she came through so much and I just loved her and Tobias together!!!! Gah my heart!
And man that TWIST! My jaw is still aching from falling open!
The epilogue was just amazing! I love when I get the future of a book! It just gives me so much closure. Loved this one can’t wait to read more by this author!

If you think you’re going into a sports-related drama, you are wrong! The fact that Tobais plays baseball almost becomes background noise. Baseball is just what Tobais does. But, it is the connection between him and Meyer, so I’m thankful for it. I have a thousand and one things I want to say; NEED to say. But to avoid spoiling anything, I have to keep my lips sealed! The drama gave me gut wrenching anxiety from page one! Tobais and Meyer remind me so much of Nathan and Haley from One Tree Hill. It is so comforting! Meyer is put in charge of tutoring Tobais so he can remain on the college baseball team. And it is the sweetest thing to see the way they find common ground out on the diamond. Tobais wanted Meyer because she didn’t want him. She was such a mystery to him; he couldn’t figure her out. But then when he saw her, truly saw her, it was no longer a want. It was a need. Tobais never ran from her, he always ran towards her. Holding on as tight as he could. And OH BOY was the curve dirty!

My Favorite Quotes:
•”She definitely ain’t free.”
•”Girl, I’m telling you, you could breathe near me and I’d be distracted.”
•”What kind of promise?” “That when you want to kiss me, you will.”
•”Read to me, Tutor Girl.”
•”I wanna look up from my place on the mound and see you sitting there, watching me...rooting for me.”
•”Take from me, Tutor Girl. I swear to God anything you could possibly want, I want more.”
•”Whatever it is, expect it, want it, demand it even.”
•Replaying the taste of you, so when I step into that shower right now, I can get there quick.”
•”I want you. All of you and everything that comes with you. Good, bad, f*%&ed. I want it. Every bit of it.”
•’I’ll forever want more. Need more. Crave more. Of her. Of this. Of us.’

Easy one sitting read.
I liked that it was more complex then it seemed to be from the beginning. The mystery continued throughout the book.

Little too much inner monologue but nice HEA comfort read

Megan Brandy does it again. This book is in my top 10 for sure. When I started reading this I kept thinking how cocky Tobias was, but when he started showing his feeling for Meyer, he grew on me. Throughout the book, Meyer mentions she has a secret and thats why she cant fall for Tobias, but, wow, was I shocked when I learned what that secret was. First thinking Reid was her father and fulling supporting Tobias’s blow up, then him making Tobias think he was Baileys father, only to learn he is in fact not her father, but her HUSBAND. The way Tobias wasn’t even really mad at her, just upset and immediately tried to find a way to fix it shows how much he loves her.

First thoughts at only one chapter in—why do we have to write every college guy as a manwhore with a profanity-laced mouth?

That being said, I'm not going to stop reading. It's just such a common theme. Le sigh.

Update: Forgot to update when I finished the book. I enjoyed it in the end...my beginning complaint is just a mild one. The characters make sense and the H turns out much better than his crass beginnings. Solid NA sports romance read for me!
