I love a good sports romance!
Tobias is a baseball star who needs to get his grades up to stay on the team. Meyer a single mom and the school's best tutor. She does not want to tutor Tobias, but is forced to.
At first I really did not like Tobias. He was a spoiled, cocky jerk. Tobias feels entitled to take up as much of Meyers time as he wants and is pushy and demanding. I think it bothered me more because we knew that Meyer had a baby and was struggling and he was making her life more difficult.
I adored Meyer, she was such a strong, determined woman. I loved to see the way Tobias' attitude and behaviour changed the longer he was around Meyer and Bailey.
I enjoyed the paced at which their relationship developed. It was slow and though he was pushy at first he respected Meyers boundaries.
From the moment the coach appeared in the book I knew something sketchy was going on. I spend the entire book trying to figure out if he was the baby's or Meyers father. He was an abusive, manipulative ass. I feel like the story line with the coach was too neatly resolved in the end. I wish that was flushed out a bit more.
Tropes: Sports romance, single parent, slow burn
