i wish i’d read these before watching the movie because it’s all so heartwarming and wild and wholesome and crazy but the movie has entirely effected my experience with the source material and the way the plot was executed so whelp

i adore this series so much. i only read the graphic novels once about 5 years ago, and ive seen the movie a couple times since. this is my first time reading them in color, and also as an adult. when i read them when i was either 15 or 16 i paid a lot more attention to the funny video game jokes and the art (which are still amazing by the way) and a lot less on scott’s development, and the themes at play in this series. i appreciate the nuance a lot more and i just love so much how these books dive deep into the characters in so many ways. an all time favorite series, and well worth the time.
