i loved hearing from warner’s side of things. really good novella getting in to his mind as well as finding out what is happening now that juliette is somewhere else and getting our first idea of what his dad is like and his past.

I really liked that book, it was really interesting getting in Warner’s head. Cause like yes he’s crazy. Like he’s damn obsessed, hallucination and all (or is there an actual reason for his hallucinations ?). But we also learned that he actually cares about civilians and their wellbeing. That he’s not as heartless as we think.
Also his relationship with his father and the impact it has on him and the story.
Kinda thinking that Warner has powers as well and that those pills he takes are to nullify them. But we’ll see.
Really excited to see what next book has to offer.

Seeing Warner's side of the story is important. I still don't like him, but I don't think I'm supposed to at this point. I can see he's got issues, like most characters in this series. I just think he's still too obsessed with Juliette for me to reasonably call it "love." Not yet anyway. I'm still waiting for him to get his shit together and actually see past her lethal touch.

This is so raw and heartfelt. I felt like I was genuinely seeing into the mind of Warner and I really appreciate having this knowledge before moving onto the second book in the series.

Nothing really happened, but it was an interesting character study on Warner, and I liked reading Juliette’s diary entries.
