Ruthless Fae (Zodiac Academy #2) by Caroline Peckham
They tried to break us.
They almost did.
But we're not going anywhere.
Rating: ****
Feels: Charmed, Scared, Angry, Irritated, Inspired, Delighted, Determined.
Style: Fantasy, Romantasy, Magic Academy, Paranormal Romance
First published August 25, 2019
I really enjoyed the twins coming more into their own in this book and understanding more about all the other characters in this series as well. Seeing how they all interact and the heat building between some of these characters. I did have a hard time with alot of the bullying aspects of this book. It goes both ways. I really do enjoy the magic aspect of this book and how the history of the twins is slowly unfolding and the politics behind everything.
This book has:
Enemies to lovers
Fated mates
Found Family
Magic Academy
Moderate Spice
Love Triangles
Bully Romance
**Non consensual acts

Alright, I’m into it now. I can see what people were talking about when they said it was like Harry Potter. Magical school, going to different classes, house points, special sport. It’s definitely not as whimsical and wholesome though. It’s got some “Wednesday” tv show vibes. It’s got some spicy bits so it’s not kid friendly. It’s straightforward and action packed so it keeps things moving right along. On to the next one!

When these two get together it’s nothing but greatness. I loved everything about it. Their narration is utterly captivating. Could not get enough. The passion and raw emotions were vibrant. The angst was real. Chills. So we’ll done. A masterpiece. I’m so enjoying seeing the world expand and getting to know the characters on a deeper level. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
The audiobook is amazing! Absolutely loved the narrators.

The second book did not disappoint. I love this series and I'm 99% sure it's about to become my new Roman Empire. How did I let this series sit on my shelves for so long without picking them up? A true mistake as I will now be immersing myself in this 23 book universe
