Lovely queer historical m/f romance novella between two grown-ups who know who they are, engaging in a nice slow burn courtship. Exactly what I was in the mood for.

A lovely, cosy novella featuring a trans hero and bi heroine. The story is mostly about their connection and getting to know one another, without any real angst or conflict. Just tender and sweet.

I love that both of the main characters crafted things for a living (the hero is a silversmith and the heroine a quilter). You could feel the love of craftsmanship shining through the pages. There was also inclusion of women’s rights and other social issues that still felt very grounded in the era and accurate to the time period.

The ending felt a bit rushed though; the book ends right as they get together and I would’ve loved another chapter or two to see them settle into the relationship.

Sooooo sweet! Really cute short story/novella following the budding romance between silversmith Benjamin and quilter Remembrance. Setting is 1800s New York and it's great to get a historical romance set in not-England. I also always love when there are details of the characters occupations included. Both the MCs are queer and are generally very loved and supported, while still acknowledging some struggles queer people might go through.

This is a sweet and tender love story, but unfortunately also a very boring one

This is such a beautiful, delicate story! I loved the dynamic between Benjamin and Remembrance and thought that it unfurled beautifully. I really loved Devin Crowe’s narration as well — it was well-paced.
