Yeah, who am I kidding - I'm not going to finish this. Beautiful, poetic nature writing. Like a National Geographic programme, but stuck on repeat. A few chapters were enough for me - it doesn't really go anywhere, but 3* because Rachel Carson's environmental activism was so important, and the writing is lovely.

This book is cool but DO NOT do the audiobook version like I did. There is an EXTENSIVE glossary in the back (which I didn’t realize until I hit it [at 87%!!]) which I would have very much appreciated being able to use while listening.
