ahHHh I’m so sad, this one just fell flat

chloe & warren are FAR too insta love, and I just don’t see why there was this instant attraction? love in two weeks? two months? is INSANE. and also warren is just so one dimensional despite having A History, I think it’s just not explored well enough

the plot’s a bit weird, i’m not sure what exactly is wrong with it but it just doesn’t feel right. i feel like a lot of things just aren’t properly explained in a believable way, like her two ex-roommates/friends just appearing out of nowhere and being besties

Hannah’s books are like a warm hug. She comes up with such unique ideas for a romance story, it’s impressive! Her spice scenes are also really well written, which we love here. The love stories she crafts are the kind I aspire to find for myself. I love them.

This gem has the following:
- No third act breakup
- Healthy communication
- Found family (kinda)
- Forced proximity
- Friends to lovers
- Chloe’s bff is a transgender woman

i loved the storyline and all the characters but i feel like the actual romance didn’t have the tension and progression i needed. they were suddenly announcing that they loved each other and that wasn’t really my cup of tea. i need angst and tension. but i did enjoy and there was some emotional parts and a sense of found family ❤️‍
