Anybody else find this book incredibly boring?? Never got past the 100th page. Its taken me months to try and read this book but every 2-3 pages makes me want to shoot myself in the face....so I finally had to put it down.

I really enjoyed this book! I DO have a certain partiality to love stories, and this one was just dramatic enough for me (haha). I chose this book to read for a "Pre-20th Century text" assignment in my AP Literature class, but I'm very glad I did. It was very different from anything I'd ever read before, and at first I had a difficult time understanding the language and syntax. However, about a third of the way in, I became completely immersed in the story. I felt a ton of different emotions during this book, like good writing does to you, and I ended up very glad I chose to read this book. I recommend it to higher-level readers or anyone willing to put up with the difficult language (like I said, you'll get the rhythm eventually), especially if you like engaging, passionate love stories that will make you frustrated, sad, scared, and (eventually) happy.

I started off loving this but then not knowing too much about the story I was surprised how early in the novel Catherine died… everything from that point felt dragged out .. Heathcliff is truly the worst

Gorgeous and frustrating at the same time. Totally confusing but totally worth it.
