Clem and Dora
Oh my lord. I adored Dora with her eccentric dress and bohemian family!!!!!
And Clem! I loved how he didn't have faith in her acting but was still on the surface very supportive. I think he under estimated how important that is. I loved how he loves fancy furniture and wallpaper and clothes and just brings that into the house. I also love that he is a total gift giving lover!
I do wish he did a bit more grovel - and wasn't drunk for it.
Contains:
Candid discussion about contraception and family planning (v appreciated)
An eccentric family
Honestly Dora is the best girl. So blindly supportive of her family!
Acting! Working for your pay! Still living a good life!
I think 3 spicy scenes plus 1 mutual masturbation.

The first two of Coldbreath's Prizefighter series are far better than the third installment, but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable in its own right. Clem Dabney never struck me as a male lead during his short cameos in the other books of this series, but he grew on me incredibly fast. He's as dirty-minded as ever, but also sweet, Theodora brings out the best in him. They're such a perfect pair. Dora's personality in particular was super refreshing to read, she isn't only some blushing bride. Dora's boldness is what makes her and Clem the perfect match UGH I LOVE THEM. The plot did seem to drag on and on in comparison to the other books but I'm glad we got to dive deep into all stages of their relationship.

This series just hits all of my favorite notes, and this might be the best yet. Theo is a fun, genuine, and eccentric heroine and Clem's "I'm not good enough" angst, if not original, really made me feel for him. Still, my favorite parts of this book were when the main characters were enjoying each other's company, which is what makes this series so comforting and addictive. I would happily read another 100 pages of Clem and Theo having lunch together, probably.
