Utterly charming, The Best Book Boyfriend is a gorgeous and emotional read. It is meta, delving into the realm of romance literature and its many dimensions, and it is celebratory, shining a light on the escapism that these books bring their readers and the comfort they provide to so many readers, particularly women.

Kara and Luke’s characters were built so beautifully. Their perspectives were so unique and yet both completely heart-wrenching. They are just two good eggs, finding solace in one another. Soulmates.

I found the dialogue quite stilted, so that is something that I would definitely want to work on for later books. It read like written text, rather than how actual British people would speak, and consequently felt quite awkward in parts.

I was hooked from the beginning. I expected a light, funny read, but in the end I got all the emotions!
We had miscommunication, talks and talks about books, we had steamy scenes (the couch scene), good friends, emotions over emotions and I loved it.
It showed that you can have more than one love and that it's different how to love. I read the ebook on KU, but its shelfworthy and I have to order the paperback too

This was a surprisingly emotional read as both MC’s are dealing with the grief of loss/ failed relationship. My heart ached for Luke in the grief he felt over his late wife. But what a perfect match Luke and Kara were from the very beginning!

I don’t have a book boyfriend list but if I did Luke would be right at the top!!

I want to be friends with the girls and join the Sunshine Book Club.

The Couch… The Fake Date…. The Door step!! I loved it all

This book was good but I just personally struggled to get into it and feel motivated to read it
