I love this book!! The characters are so believable and I totally feel in love with them all. The depiction of female friendship is so beautiful and special. And the spice is spot on!! The relationship is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and just all the feel good feelings.

This book is the slowest of slow burns. Which makes sense because Kara is getting over a 12 year relationship that ended suddenly and Luke is grieving his wife who passed two years previously. The two bond over reading romance books and soon become each others support. Before they know it they realize that maybe their feelings are more than just of the friendly kind…
I enjoyed this book although I did find myself wondering off a bit here and there. That has more to do with me and British writing than it does the book though. Both of the MCs were well rounded and relatable. Their different forms of greif were compelling and the author did a great job of putting you in their headspace to understand their emotions.
The was a fun book that is well worth the read!

A cute romance with real heart as both protagonists are recovering from genuine heartbreak and trauma. Possibly a little bit too self aware for me but the characters are really lovely and the author is clearly a romance lover.
